The Verdict is in for Queensryche

It’s taken them a while, but rock icons QUEENSRŸCHE have finally announced a release date for their new album, which will be their first since 2015’s ‘Human Condition’

The album, ‘The Verdict,is set for release on March 1, 2019. It was produced, mixed, and mastered by Chris Harris whose credits include work with Rob Zombie, Iced Earth and Hatebreed. Pre-orders for the album will be announced soon.

The band’s lead vocalist, Todd La Torre said, “I’m extremely proud of what we were able to accomplish on this record, and the dedication and hard work of everyone involved has been very rewarding.” With regard to the musical direction on ‘The Verdict, La Torre said, “It’s got more driving songs on this record than the last one… I think there’s elements that are more progressive — some different time signatures. It’s a good-flowing album.”

La Torre also offered comparisons to the band’s previous album, “There’s more progressive elements on this one. The song ‘Condition Hüman’ was kind of progressive in QUEENSRŸCHE’s standards, so there’s kind of some of those elements going on.” Without a doubt, La Torre is excited about the results, “It no longer is just belonging to us, but belonging to the world. We hope you all enjoy listening to it as much as we enjoyed making it!”

Guitarist Michael Wilton offered this tantalizing piece of information about the sound, “The Verdict‘ is the most metal and the most progressive record we have made in a long time. I couldn’t possibly be more excited for everyone to hear this.”

The band will be heading out on tour in the new year to support the new release, and current dates can be seen below. Special guests will be Fates Warning with The Cringe also joining both bands on select dates.
