For some people, Kiss’ ‘End of the Road’ tour just got a bit more interesting. As has now been announced, when the tour resumes next year, the opening act will feature David Lee Roth.
The first leg of the tour runs from February to March, while the second begins in August and runs to the beginning of October. Kiss has said that their last-ever show will be in New York on July 17, 2021.
Roth is resuming his solo career. Prior to the Kiss dates, he’ll begin a residency at the House of Blues at Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, which he’ll continue after wrapping up the U.S. leg of the Kiss tour.
With regard to Van Halen, Roth said that the band was “finished.” It had appeared that a stadium tour was being planned with the original Van Halen members, but in the end, nothing materialized. Roth said, “I’ve inherited the band de facto — whatever that means.”
With this being said, the audience attending the Kiss shows can be sure that they’re going to hear many of the songs that connected Roth to Van Halen.
