As the excitement continues to build for the November 2nd Freddy Mercury biopic, “Bohemian Rhapsody,” a second trailer for the film has now been released. The trailer can be viewed below.
Similarly to the first trailer that came out in May, the tag line “The only thing more extraordinary than their music is his story” is prominently featured, but this time there’s a new line added: “This fall, fearless lives forever.”
The second trailer features a bit more dialogue. We see Mercury in (played by Rami Malek) in the early days of Queen, with his future bandmates, as they begin their climb to stardom. In the clip, Mercury is pushing his role and desire to be the band’s lead singer. The trailer also features snippets of some of the band’s songs: “We Will Rock You,” “Another One Bites the Dust” and “We Are the Champions.”
A key scene in this trailer is an exchange between Mercury and drummer Roger Taylor (played by Ben Hardy) that highlights Mercury’s meticulousness and perfectionism. While recording the band’s signature song, “Bohemian Rhapsody,” Taylor remarks, “How many more ‘Galileos’ do you want?” To which Mercury replies, “Roger, there’s only room in this band for one hysterical queen.”
Expect that at least one more sneak peek will be released in advance of the long-awaited film’s world premiere.
