Queensryche extends tour

Even though they are currently on tour with dates right to the end of 2019, QUEENSRŸCHE has announced an extension to ‘The Verdict’ tour, with dates into 2020.

For this tour, they won’t be going it alone: the band will be joined by special guests John 5 and Eve To Adam starting on January 17 in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.

QUEENSRŸCHE guitarist Michael Wilton stated the following about the tour: “Hey Rÿchers, we are hitting the road in January 2020 with John 5 and Eve To Adam! Come see this entertaining extravaganza in your city!”

The current tour is in support of its latest album, ‘The Verdict, which was released in March. The band features two original members, bassist Eddie Jackson, and guitarist Michael Wilton, along with singer Todd La Torre and guitarist Parker Lundgren. ‘The Verdict’ marks QUEENSRŸCHE’s third full-length release with La Torre, following the departure of Geoff Tate in 2012.

Earlier this year, Wilton spoke with Guitar World about the new album. He said, “We wanted a harder edge because our fans expect it from us. ‘The Verdict’ has all the elements — hard rock, progressive and metal. It’s all there. Now we are creating music as we did during our early days, and firing on all cylinders.”

Parker Lundgren added, “We wanted to bring a progressive element into the heaviness of whatever song we are playing. We’re all very proud of how exciting and hard-rocking the album turned out, and I think our fans, both old and new, will enjoy it very much.”
