It’s been a series of ups and downs over a long 45-year career, and now Swiss hard rockers Krokus have said their 2019 tour will be their farewell tour. Their announcement also mentioned that their final show will take place on Dec. 7, 2019 at the Hallenstadion in Zurich, Switzerland.
It was 1975 when the Krokus broke into a mainstream. They originally tailored themselves for the progressive rock crowd, but then switched gears to a more heavy rock style.
In the 1980s Krokus began to receive more attention, reaching a peak with their 1983 album ‘Headhunter,’ and the accompanying power ballad “Screaming in the Night.” The band didn’t slow down for years: last year, Krokus released its 18th studio album, ‘Big Rocks,’ a covers set of songs originally recorded by Led Zeppelin, Queen, Black Sabbath, the Who and the Rolling Stones. It was their third straight album to reach No. 1 in Switzerland; all eight of their past records reached the Top 20.
