Heavy Hitters record ‘Let It Be’ for Music Cares

The team behind “Soundcheck Live” has united with the MusiCares Foundation to bring together 68 musicians, delivering a wonderfully stirring performance of the Beatles classic, “Let It Be.”

The performance features (among others) Avril Lavigne, Nuno Bettencourt, Orianthi, Phil X, Gary Cherone and Doug “Dug” Pinnick. A video of the performance can be seen via the link below.

The musicians involved hope to raise money for music industry professionals impacted by the coronavirus pandemic, as well as offer up inspiration for all those around the world affected by the disease.

“Soundcheck Live” was founded in 2016 by Avril Lavigne‘s musical director Steve Ferlazzo. The concept, a monthly jam, has become an ideal way for the well-known performers to join forces with new musicians, to showcase their skills and network with other artists.

Fundraising efforts for donations as well as auction items by some of the more notable performers will be hosted through www.charitystars.com.
