The longer quarantine and isolation orders stay in place, you can expect more video concert get-togethers.
The newest one for fans of hard rock includes Richie Faulkner (Judas Priest), Mike Inez (Alice In Chains), Lzzy Hale (Halestorm), Phil Demmel (ex-Machine Head) and Dave McClain (ex-Machine Head). The musicians recently came together to record a cover version of Thin Lizzy’s “Bad Reputation.” Each musician recorded their part in their respective homes, and the results can be seen in the video below.
Demmel spoke about the recording, “I had so much fun doing this with another song, that I wanted to jam on one of my favourite songs by one of my favourite bands. So, I invited my buds Dave McClain, Richie Faulkner, Mike Inez, and Lzzy Hale.”
“Bad Reputation” was the title track of Thin Lizzy’s eighth studio album. While it was never a huge radio staple or released as a single, it did become a popular part of their live show. The song has been covered a few times during its lifetime, including a recent effort by Foo Fighters on their covers album, 2011’s ‘Medium Rare.’
