It’s looking a lot like sisters Ann Wilson and Nancy Wilson are getting close to bringing back Heart. During the ‘Let There Be Talk’ podcast, guitarist Nancy has said the band have received a “big offer” for a reunion tour in 2019. She added that the signs of it taking place are looking good.
“I’ve gotta say, it’s looking really good for a Heart reunion tour,” Nancy said during the podcast. “There’s a big offer up there on the table. Me and Ann are talking, so we’ll keep talking.”
In 2016, singer Ann put the band on hiatus after a family dispute resulted in the sisters at an impasse, struggling to maintain communication. The dispute was a result of Ann’s husband being accused of having assaulted one of Nancy’s children while the band and their families were on tour. In the podcast interview, Nancy said, “There was a family drama that was unnecessary and hurtful, and it was just one of those things that takes time to get past.” She added, “family drama just happened. I’ve had a real positive feeling about now that I’m communicating directly more with Ann.”
The reunion offer has been a catalyst in the sisters communicating again. Nancy said, “I’ve been sort of trying for a while, but Ann was kind of busy and, I think, scared to talk. I said ‘I’m not ever gonna confront you about anything, but there is this huge offer on the table, so we should talk – just the two of us.’ So we’re in that process right now. It’s kind of exciting.”
Since the break, Nancy formed her band Roadcase Royale, featuring other members of Heart, while Ann pursued her solo career, recently touring with Paul Rodgers and Jeff Beck.
