Haven’t been watching “Saturday Night Live” in recent years? You might want to change your plans or set your recording devices for this upcoming Saturday: Greta Van Fleet will be making their debut on the January 19 episode, airing on NBC at 11:30 p.m. ET / 10:30 p.m. CT.
The promotion engines have started for Greta Van Fleet: last October, the band released its debut full-length album, ‘Anthem Of The Peaceful Army.’ The disc followed two previous EPs and the breakout song “Highway Tune,” which in 2017 first introduced the band to the masses. The long-awaited ‘Anthem’ entered the Billboard 200 chart at No. 3.
2019 is beginning to look like a big year for the band: last month, they received four Grammy nominations: “Best New Artist,” “Best Rock Performance” (“Highway Tune”), “Best Rock Album” (‘From The Fires’) and “Best Rock Song” (“Black Smoke Rising”). The band, brothers Sam, Jake and Josh Kiszka, along with drummer Danny Wagner, are expected to attend the February 10 ceremony at LA’s Staples Center.
Greta Van Fleet’s 2019 tour continues this week with a two-night stand in Seattle this week. A new North American tour will start next May 7 in Miami.
