Heart announce Love Alive reunion tour

It wasn’t a matter of “if,” but more a matter of “when.” And now that has been answered: Heart are getting back together after three years apart, for a 2019 tour, titled, ‘Love Alive.’ There is a Montreal date on the schedule, and it will include Sheryl Crow and Ellie King.

The tour will hit 39 cities, and is named after the second track from Heart’s 1977 album ‘Little Queen.’ Brandi Carlile and Lucie Silvas will also join Heart on select dates.

In a new press release, Nancy Wilson said, “I think the tour will spark some positive new energy as we rediscover some of our iconic songs and also some fan favorites,” She added, “Calling the tour ‘Love Alive’ was something Ann and I felt instantly good about. We have always had many love-themed mottos along the way like ‘Love Rules,’ ‘Love Wins,’ ‘Love is It.”

Heart, and specifically the Wilson sisters, have been involved in other projects for the last three years, because of a family dispute going back 2016. Things started to get more positive last year and by December of 2018, they were announcing a new live album.

Ann Wilson commented, “Both Nancy and I have stretched our wings in life these last three years. We’ve both lived and loved. We have breathed and traveled and experienced life. We come to this tour with fresh energy and oxygen.”
