AC/DC sightings in Vancouver

There are multiple reports surfacing that former members of ACDC are holed up in a studio in Vancouver, leading to speculation of a possible new album.

Canadian journalist Steve Newton blogged that his “sources” bumped into two members of AC/DC. One source encountered Angus Young’s nephew, Stevie Young, who took over guitar duties from Angus’ brother Malcolm Young in 2014, while the other source reported spotted and chatted with former drummer Phil Rudd. Rudd exited the band in 2015 and was replaced by Chris Slade.

Another piece to the mystery puzzle is that former vocalist Brian Johnson was also spotted in Vancouver with Rudd. Johnson left the band during its ‘Rock or Bust’ tour because of hearing damage. The 2014 ‘Rock or Bust’ album was also the band’s last studio album.

While there has been no confirmation from band leader Angus Young about whether any band activities are actually happening in Vancouver, it should be noted that the band last three studio albums were recorded at the city’s Warehouse Studio.

Over the last few months, there have been conflicting rumours that Young had plans for a new album but indications were that Axl Rose would be once again involved. Could the classic AC/DC line-up be back together? If the reports do turn out to be accurate, fans should have cause for excitement.
